Franz Wanke, the floater of the enterprise, was born in Vienna.
1926–1929
Franz Wanke contradicted a doctrine of hatter and fullfills his trade
test with excellent success.
1936
After performing in this job in the hat fabrication of his brother he
founded an autonomous handicraft business. He specialized on exclusive
ladies model hats.
1943
The enterprise advanced to an industrial firm because of the prospering
order situation and a limited partnership was build up.
1946
His son Josef was born.
1963–1965
Josef Wanke learns the trade of hatter.
1966
Josef Wanke joins the enterprise.
1967
Josefs intended wife Ingrid enters the company.
1977
Josef Wanke inherits the enterprise, Franz Wanke stays active despite
his retirements.
1992
The son Marcus boards the company.
1993
The „Wiener Modellhut Ges.m.b.H.“ is founded with Josef Wanke
as manager or director and with Ingrid as associate.
2006
The „Wiener Modellhut Ges.m.b.H.“ is successful and favoured
far in excess over the Austrian borders. All steps of the fabrication
of model hats are still processed in the own enterprise.
2010
Handover of the „Wiener Modellhut Ges.m.b.H.“ from Josef Wanke to his son Marcus Wanke.
